Fraser Carlin

Fraser Carlin is the Head of Planning & Development at Renfrewshire Council and is responsible for the Statutory Planning Functions as well as the Regeneration and Economic Development roles of the Local Authority. Having held a number of posts across a range of public sector agencies over the last 20 years, Fraser has witnessed a change in what communities need from their public services and how they want to engage with them. To this end he is committed to introducing new and innovative ways to work with communities that puts them at the heart of the Planning process and ensures that the community is not a side player as a result of the long, overly technical and frankly tedious processes that have excluded them in the past.
